In a surprising turn of events, a host on the president’s personal propaganda network begrudgingly admitted that Donald Trump has not been entirely truthful with the American people.
This afternoon, FOX host Brett Baier conceded that the President had obviously not been entirely truthful with Fox and Friends host Ainsley Earhardt during their explosive Thursday interview in which President Trump admitted that he knew about the secret payments to his alleged ex-mistresses, Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, and that the money came from him — but said he only found out about it “later.”

The secret payments are at the center of a controversy that could lead to criminal charges for the President. Cohen was charged for felony campaign finance violation for the two payments, which were far over the limit for individual donations and were ruled a campaign donation since they were obviously intended to keep the women’s stories from interfering in the election.
Faced with the overwhelming evidence, Baier was forced to admit that the President wasn’t telling the truth.
“I mean, the president’s rollout of explaining this has not been clear…The Washington Post says it’s a flat-out lie in their fact-checking. I think you could look back at the statements and clearly he was not 100 percent truthful as he laid that out” said Baier, tiptoeing as much as he could around the the elephant in the room.
The president obviously did not consider the fact that Michael Cohen release audio tapes of him discussing the payments to McDougal before they were made, which means that he is obviously lying.
If he’s lying, it follows that, as Cohen’s lawyer argued earlier this week, Trump himself is also guilty of felony campaign finance violation and must pay the price for it.
While it not might be much, even the slightest admission that the president isn’t being honest with the American people is a huge step for FOX News — and perhaps a harbinger of more to come as the president digs himself a deeper and deeper grave.
