The mom who scolded Scott Pruitt just sent Trump a message that’s breaking the internet

Perhaps no one in America is feeling more satisfied today by the resignation of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt than Kristen Mink.

While she might not be familiar to you by name, you most likely have heard of her bold and brave act of resistance on Monday when she approached Pruitt while both were having lunch at the same Washington DC restaurant, Teaism.

The 33-year-old teacher was taking a break with her family — including her 2-year-old son — while showing the DC sights to relatives from out of town when her husband noticed Pruitt at a nearby table.

Mink couldn’t let this golden opportunity pass by without confronting Pruitt about the raft of issues on her mind, so she walked over to his table with her 2-year-old in her arms and said to the smiling EPA administrator:

“Hi,” she told Pruitt. “I just wanted to urge you to resign for what you’re doing to the environment in our country.”

Coming so soon after the public restaurant confrontations faced by Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and White House Advisor Stephen Miller, Mink’s audacious and direct statement, augmented by the presence of a child in her arms, immediately garnered worldwide attention.

With the announcement today of Scott Pruitt’s resignation, Minke must have felt like the most effective and empowered activist on the planet, seemingly having accomplished with one brief conversation what millions of Americans had been hoping would happen for months.

So empowered, in fact, that the brave teacher went out on a limb to see if she could make lightning strike twice. She went on Twitter to post this hopeful inquiry.

So far there’s been no response from the president, but given Mink’s batting average so far in ridding the nation of unwanted corrupt politicians, millions of Americans are just waiting for her next chance at bat.

Let’s hope she brings her son again. He was the prop that really helped drive her point home.
