Ted Lieu just smacked down Trump’s attack on Obama with epic scolding

- 12.52

After President Trump’s morning Twitter rampage on Syria, Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA), a reliable presence on the social media service, felt compelled to respond.

Trump tweeted a series of angry posts with his take on the deadly chemical weapons attack on a rebel-held Damascus suburb, blaming Syrian President Assad, as well as his Russian and Iranian allies.

Rep. Lieu saw the president once again try to pin responsibility on his predecessor for the current situation and quickly knew that he had to remind the president that looking back and placing blame are not the mark of an effective leader.

That Trump requires a reminder from the California congressman that as president he is now the one in charge of executing his duties as Commander-in-Chief is massively pathetic, but not surprising.

Trump’s entire political career has consisted of him blaming Democrats, Obama and Hillary Clinton in particular, for all of the world’s ills, and then loudly proclaiming that only he with is superior intellect (pause for gagging noises) can solve everything.

Rep. Lieu realizes that now that Trump has been in the job for over a year, it’s time to put up or shut up. It is the president’s responsibility to lead the nation, not in pointing fingers and placing blame, but in developing intelligent policies to respond to the developments in the world on a day to day basis.

If, like most people in the United States these days as his polling reflects, you don’t think Trump is up to the job, we can only hope that Robert Mueller finishes his investigation sooner rather than later, and we can start the process of removing an incompetent and deceitful dotard from the White House.
