Republican Senator just revealed embarrassing consequences of Trump’s Twitter firings (WATCH)

On the heels of Trump’s announcement via Twitter that Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin would be replaced by the president’s personal physician, Ronny Jackson, one Republican senator revealed the unintended consequences of the commander in chief’s juvenile trend.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) said Trump “needs to understand the effect it has” on enlisting new recruits to cabinet positions.

Speaking with Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press, Sen. Johnson said, “It’s not the way I’d do it. I think the president does need to understand the effect it has on attracting other people.”

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

This is, of course, not Trump’s first foray into firings via social media.  The peculiar practice serves as an ever-present reminder that the president prioritizes his thirst for attention over even his duties as a public servant charged with respecting our nation’s traditions and institutions. He also fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster via Twitter, replacing them with CIA Director Mike Pompeo and Fox News talking head John Bolton, respectively.

Trump may be more interested in promoting his brand, expanding his social media following, and keeping all eyes on him than he is in living up to the standards of the office he currently holds.  But he’ll continue to pay a steep price for doing so.
