Once the news of President Trump’s latest cabinet shuffle replacing Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin with the president’s personal physician, Dr. Ronny L. Jackson, hit the street, Twitter went wild with reactions.
After all, Trump who was so famous for telling people that they are fired as host of Celebrity Apprentice, now seems incapable of delivering that news in person and uses the social media platform as his preferred method of sacking his staff.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Scarborough ignored the medium that the message was transmitted on in his response to the news. Instead, he focused on the identity of the new VA leader.
Is this the same White House doctor that said Trump weighed 199 lbs, ran a 4.3 40, and was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound?

That Joe, he’s such a kidder. While Scarborough’s comments were a bit hyperbolic, Dr. Jackson did spend an hour defending the president’s genetics and overall exemplary health after he announced the results of Trump’s first official physical. And Dr. Jackson did make a statement that is as unbelievable as the Superman-like abilities that Scarborough jokes he has attributed to the President:
“I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years he might live to be 200 years old.”
With a president who finds flattery to be the most potent medicine of all, comments like that all but made Dr. Jackson a shoo-in for the job.
While it will take quite a few hithertofore undiscovered medical miracles before anyone lives to be 200, we must now all heartily thank McDonald’s for ensuring that we won’t have to live with the prospect of a Trump bicentennial presidential run hanging over our heads.
