Trump was back at his old tricks during a speech at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Convention in Tennessee today. He ran it like a rally for the dictator and whipped the proletariat into a frenzy.
Once he started whipped out the old’ trump catchphrases, things went downhill. He told a room full of hardworking Americans that they were lucky he gave them the “privilege” of voting for him.
No one’s really listening to him anymore, so the crowd mostly cheered in hopes it would get this thing over with more quickly.
But former White House Ethics lawyer Walter Shaub was paying attention and took to twitter to respond.

“Oh, are you happy you voted for me. You are so lucky that I gave you that privilege,” were Trump’s exact words.
Shaub resigned from his position early last year after it became clear to him that the Trump administration was so ethically compromised he couldn’t be a part of it anymore.
But Shaub hasn’t stayed silent, regularly weighing in on increasingly more egregious ethics violations with every passing day.
Even though Trump runs his rallies like a tin pot dictator, he luckily hasn’t really come into his own as one in reality and managed to shut down the voices of dissent like Shaub’s on twitter.
